Divorce

Michigan is a no-fault divorce state which means that either spouse can file for a divorce based upon the statement that the two have “irreconcilable differences” which cannot be resolved and it would be better for the parties to no longer be married.

With that being said, one facet where our firm may be a little different from most firms you have been researching is that here at Williams Law Offices we approach Family Law based upon our Christian principles of the sanctity of family.

Specifically, although Michigan is a “no-fault” divorce as previously stated we approach divorce from a Christian perspective:

  • Adultery;
  • Child Abuse by a Parent; and
  • Spousal Abuse.

These are just a few of the causes we would need to find for our firm to represent you in a divorce proceeding.

Therefore, because of the nature in which we handle these divorces our team is unlike any other. We at Williams Law Offices aggressively seek to protect your interest and your children’s interest. We have represented both males and females with and without children. Experience always makes a difference, but in a divorce proceeding experience with the law, the courts, and human nature is a must for the success of our clients.
